This document provides essential information for installing and using the Humans mod. Please ensure you have the recommended Minecraft version and the Fabric mod loader installed before proceeding.
Required Dependencies
This mod relies on the following additional mods to function correctly:
- Fabric API: The official core library providing essential functionalities for most Fabric mods.
- GeckoLib: Necessary for handling entity animations within the mod.
Optional Dependencies
These mods enhance the user experience but are not strictly required for the mod's core functionality:
- Cloth Config API: (Optional) For in-game configuration interface.
- Architectury API: (Conditional) Needed only if shared Fabric/Forge features are used.
Key Bindings and Recommendations
It's highly recommended to unbind the following default Minecraft keys to avoid conflicts:
- P, X, L, Q, R, Z, [, ;, Y, T
Custom key bindings include:
- P: Opens key customization menu
- X: Makes selected entity speak
- L: Opens texture/model control GUI
- [: Move entity forward
- ;: Move entity backward
- Y: Rotate entity clockwise
- T: Rotate entity counter-clockwise
Mod Features
1. Sit Feature
Entities can sit on chairs or compatible blocks by right-clicking while looking at the block.
2. Sleep Feature
Entities can sleep on beds or compatible blocks by right-clicking them.
3. Pathfinding for Individual Entities
- Select the Pathfinding Stick.
- Place it at the destination.
- Right-click the entity to move it to that location.
4. Collective Pathfinding
- Place a single Pathfinding Stick block at the target point.
- Right-click multiple entities using the stick.
- All selected entities will walk to the target location.
5. Model and Texture Customization
Use the GUI (L key) to change models, textures, and even resize the entity to appear like a child.
